Welcome to The Wonderful Weird World of Lovdev Barpaga – a brand-new work-in-progress show where the strange, bizarre and downright ridiculous finally get the attention they deserve.
For years, award-winning comedian and podcaster Lovdev Barpaga has stumbled across weird news stories and all sorts of unusual topics on his podcast, "Crazy Little Thing Called Lovdev". Now he’s taking some of those stories, subjects and ideas and turning them into stand-up.
From the supernatural and strange superstitions to myths, bizarre beliefs and theories about life that probably shouldn’t stand up to too much scrutiny, Lovdev attempts to make sense of a world that seems to be getting weirder by the day.
Along the way, expect personal stories, unexpected tangents, sharp one-liners and Lovdev’s own questionable logic.
Is any of it true? Is it all nonsense? And why do we believe half this stuff in the first place?
Who knows? But if it’s weird, Lovdev wants to talk about it.
