Tommy works in suicide prevention and has seen how powerful humour can be in keeping people safe. Stand Up to Suicide is a powerful show that raises awareness about thoughts of suicide. A combination which on paper shouldn't work, but one which Tommy North embraces to give the audience plenty of laughs alongside a serious message. And that's the point. By skilfully intertwining genuinely funny gags about his own experiences of family life with his knowledge of suicide prevention from his day job, Tommy gets his message across. Tommy recently performed this show as part of The Morecambe Bay Fringe Festival and was voted best comedian
