Lazy Hardworker

The Globe, Leicester • Friday 12 February 2027 • 18:00

Over 40 jobs. One woman. Still trying to avoid hard work.

In The Lazy Hard Worker, South African comedian Thenjiwe Moseley turns her extraordinary CV into an hour of sharp observations, outrageous stories and laughter.

From lawyer to nanny, funeral crier to mattress tester, Thenjiwe has spent years searching for the perfect job: one that pays well and requires very little effort. Unfortunately, finding it has become a full-time occupation.

With expressive storytelling and a distinctive Zulu perspective, she takes audiences through the unexpected situations, questionable decisions and colourful characters she has encountered while trying to make a living. Along the way, she explores ambition, reinvention and the gap between the life we planned and the jobs we actually ended up doing.

Having performed across South Africa, Britain, Australia, Tanzania and Southeast Asia, Thenjiwe brings an international outlook to stories rooted in her own wonderfully unpredictable life.

Whether you love your job, hate your boss or are updating your CV during working hours, this show is for you.

Come for the comedy. Leave feeling considerably better about your career choices.
