Fresh from winning Best Standup Show at the Greater Manchester Fringe 2026, Mat brings his debut hour to Leicester. The 26th most famous Mat Smith on Google (and climbing) he writes about the future for a major US tech publication. By night, he thinks about the middle. This show lives exactly where those two impulses meet.
At 41, Smith has never learned to drive, could have been a child star and a gym class almost killed him. He also speaks Japanese and he will mention it. It’s a sharp hour of stories and distractions from a new comedy voice old enough to remember cassettes, with qual parts self-improvement and self-sabotage.
A “clever and genuinely funny” show about being the middle of absolutely everything. He is not Matt Smith.
