What is a vampire? A creature of desire and hunger, and most of all, loneliness. scott manley hadley aka SOLID BALD has never been a vampire, but they have often been alone. In 17 songs about lonely vampires, scott performs 17 original songs that explore what it means to be a vampire, and what it means to be alone.
In this WIP performance combining alternative comedy, music, light literary commentary and performance art, scott looks towards the ways in which they have failed to achieve personal goals through a non-vampiric lack of driving hunger, but also how becoming a vampire is something they fear... The eternity, the danger, the violence, the risk of the lack of love...
The show will explore fictional vampires, vampire lore, vampiric characters, and reflections and jokes about self, ageing, identity, mental illness and, maybe, desire.
There will be songs (17). There will be vampires (quantity unconfirmed). There will probably be blood (not the film). There will be loneliness.
